Stimulus?

As some of you may have got from class I am deeply interested in where this country is going economically. What are your thoughts on how effective this stimulus bill is. Was it a smart move for Obama to make?

    wow. so I totally wrote and my computer took a dump.. I hate windows, Im gonna be a nerd like Shay and buy a mac. haha JK Shay! Anyway, its hard to say about the stimulus. On one hand, the big guys going bankrupt affects the economy, and it needs to be supressed. But where do you draw the line? If the government controls too much of the economy we slide closer to Socialism. Ive lived in former Soviet countries and its sad to see how that form of government affects their way of life.

    I always think about when Reagan was in office. He came into a much worse economy and he didn't need a bailout. He actually stated that the answer wasn't in the government, but rather in the people as individuals. Do you think Reagans plan would've worked in our situation?
